Gale Tuoti was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois and came to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona. After graduation she went on to be a broadcast writer and moved to New York City.
In 1977, her love of the Southwest motivated her to move back to Tucson and that is when she began capturing the landscape surrounding her with watercolors and acrylics.
However her art is not limited to landscape; she also enjoys painting animals and images inspired by rock and cave imagery.
